제목 Crude glycerol-mediated liquefaction of sccharification residues of sunflower stalks for production of lignin biopolyols
초록 Due to the limited amount of petroleum fuel and environmental concern, the development of bio-based polymer from renewable resources have attracted much attention. The biopolyol can be used for versatile polymer production such as polyester and polyurethane. In this study, the biopolyol was produced by the liquefaction of the sunflower stalk saccharification residues using biodiesel-derived crude glycerol as a liquefaction solvent. The utilization of a low-cost byproducts such as crude glycerol and saccharification residues generated in the lignocellulosic bioethanol process has the potential to reduce the production cost of biopolyol and biopolyurethane. The effect of various liquefaction conditions such as biomass loading, sulfuric acid loading, liquefaction temperature and reaction time on the biomass conversion have been optimized. Hydroxyl and acid numbers for liquefied biopolyols were also determined.
