제목 Morphology control of palladium nanoparticle using peptide and its effect on catalytic activities
초록  We present the formation of metal nanoparticles (NPs) through a bio-inspired metal reduction process with redox active 7mer tyrosine containing peptide (YYACAYY, Tyr-C7mer) scaffolds. Tyr-C7mer peptide forms a complex with metal ions in water and floats on the air/water interface forming a 2-D nano structure. The nucleation of metal NPs can be induced by the bio-inspired peptide scaffolds, which allows them to form NPs on the peptide 2-D scaffolds. The reduction of metal ions was accelerated by pyrrole through self-vaporizing polymerization. One of the metal NPs, palladium (Pd0) NPs embedded in Tyr-C7mer peptide and polypyrrole hybrid films (Tyr-C7mer@PPy@Pd NP) can be used as a highly efficient reusable heterogeneous catalyst for the C-C coupling reaction of aryl chlorides in water.
