제목 Catalytic N2O decomposition and CH4-SCR of N2O over Co/Rh/Al mixed metal oxide catalyst prepared from hydrotalcite-like precursor
초록 The catalytic decomposition of nitrous oxide (N2O) and selective catalytic reduction of N2O with CH4 in the presence of limited and excess oxygen were studied over a fixed bed of Co, Rh and Al-containing mixed metal oxide catalyst obtained from hydrolatcite-type precursor. The N2O decomposition and CH4-SCR of N2O were examined in the absence of O2 and in the presence of limited and excess O2. The presence of NO and O2 results an inhibition in the N2O decomposition activity of the catalyst. However, when CH4 is fed together with O2, preferably at an optimum CH4 to O2 mole ratio, the N2O conversion activity is enhanced. A possible role of in-situ generated CO for promoting selective catalytic reduction of N2O is explained.
