Epitaxial growth of organic semiconductors by eutectic solidification |

To produce the crystalline structures of organic semiconductors has been highly demanded for numerous devices and promising application. The conventional method based on gas or solution phase have been applied for growing crystal so far but it still requires an alternative method since organic materials have thermal stability problems on high temperature and insolubility in common organic solvents in case of having high molecular weights. Herein, we present a new crystal growth technique based on eutectic solidification which could control morphologies and different crystal structure with same materials. And it also could work with monomeric- and polymeric organic semiconductors. In this presentation, we will demonstrate that organic semiconducting nanowires including rubrene, Alq3, copper phthalocyanine, P3HT and Poly DPP derivatives have single crystalline structures and also could be applied on soft lithography very easily. |
