제목 Effect of Surface area of seed on mean chord length at anti-solvent crsytallization
초록 HNIW (2,4,6,8,10,12-Hexanitro-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazatetracyclo) is a material that has been widely known as a high density and explosive material. Hniw has five polymorphs, and four forms, α-, β-, ε- and γ-forms, are stable under sufficient conditions. Polymorphs have the same chemical composition in energetic materials but have different crystal structures due to different binding angles, which affect detonation rate and density. We selected the crystallization conditions that inject n-heptane into a solution of HNIW dissolved in ethyl acetate. We study the change of mean chord length that measured by Foucsed Beam Reflectant Measurement (FBRM) when the surface area of seed is in the range of 0 to about 250000cm ^ 2 at the time of seeding. Increasing the surface area of the seeds injected into the solution decreases the mean chord length measured by FBRM under the crystallization conditions we have mentioned.
