제목 PDEAEMA Functionalized Graphene Oxide Nanocargo for Drug Delivery
초록 The covalent functionalization of graphene oxide (GO) with poly(diethylamino ethyl methacrylate) (PDEAEMA) is successfully achieved through atom transfer radical polymerization. The PDEAEMA grafted on GO imparts the system with a good aqueous solubility and biocompatibility. In addition, the physiochemical properties of GO- PDEAEMA are studied. As a novel nanocargo, GO- PDEAEMA is applied to load a water insoluble anticancer drug, camptothecin (CPT), via π-π stacking and hydrophobic interactions. It is manifested that GO- PDEAEMA has a good loading capacity for CPT and the GO- PDEAEMA-CPT complexes show remarkably high cytotoxicity in HeLa cell lines compared to the pure drug. The MTT assay showed no obvious cytotoxicity of GO- PDEAEMA. Thus, the GO- PDEAEMA nanocargo could be a potential stimuli-responsive material for controlled drug delivery and it may improve the bioavailability, efficacy and compliance of the encapsulated drug.
