제목 Development of novel metal catalyst for reductive amination of alcohol
초록 The reductive amination reaction consists of three steps of reactions; dehydrogenation, dehydration, and hydrogenation. Therefore, the development of multi-functional catalyst to achieve the one-pot three-step reaction is very important to develop an efficient process to synthesize primary amine directly from alcohol.
In this study, the reactivity of heterogeneous metal catalysts containing Ni, Cu, Zr, Sn, Co, Cr, and Zn synthesized by precipitation method was compared through model amination reaction. To improve the efficiency of reductive amination reaction, cobalt (Co) or chromium (Cr) was proposed to be used as the component of metal catalyst since they were acknowledged as having good activity in amination reaction. The amination of ethylene glycol with aniline was applied as the model reaction. Through this catalyst screening procedure, the effect of metal composition on the reactivity for the amination was confirmed.
