Mussel-inspired modification of elecrospun nanofibers with different hydrophilicity |
초록 |
In tissue engineering, the surface properties of the scaffolds have played a significant role in regulating cellular responses on them, and synthetic biomaterials have been modified with hydrophilic ligands and bioactive molecules to increase cell compatibility. Recently polydopamine coating method has been introduced as a facile modification method which can be coated on various materials regardless of their surface property. However, it is still unknown about the relationship between surface hydrophilicity and polydopamine coating behavior. In this study, to generate different surface property, poly(acrylic acid)-grafted nanofibrous meshes were prepared by electron-beam irradiation, and then which were immersed in a dopamine solution for predetermined time. Polydopamine coating behaviors on the materials with different hydrophilicity were investigated with SEM, FT-IR, and modified micro BCA assay. |
