Supercapacitors have attracted significant attention due to their high-power density, long lifecycle than traditional batteries. The materials like carbon, metal oxides and conducting polymers received considerable attention in the field of supercapacitor electrodes. The metal oxides such as RuO2, NiO, MnO2 etc., have been considered as better candidates as pseudocapacitance materials. The low conductivity, limited surface area and poor stability of metal oxides are the crucial factors that hinder the wide applications in supercapacitors. In this present work, various molar concentrations of cobalt were doped with the well-known pseudocapacitor metal oxides nanomaterials such as MnO2 and NiO to form binary metal oxide. The incorporation of Co ion has highly enhanced the conductivity of the metal oxides with considerable improvement in the electrochemical performance of MnO2 and NiO nanomaterials. |
