Hydrodynamic Characteristics of Circulating Fluidized Bed for Chemical Looping Combustion |
초록 |
The riser in chemical looping combustion (CLC) process acts as air reactor where metal oxide particles are oxidized by air and the bubbling bed has a role of fuel reactor where CH4 gas reduces metal oxide particles. For stable operation of CLC process, not only the pressure balance is greatly important but also accurate estimation of pressure drop in each reactor is essential. However, prediction toward pressure drop across the riser was extremely tough due to numerous variables. In this study, the cold-mode operation was carried out to figure out the relationship between pressure drop across the riser and external solid circulation rate. Physical properties of particles, gas velocities and total solid inventory were considered as experimental variables. |
