It always expose chemical researchers to the risk of accidents because chemical laboratories deal with chemicals and toxic gases. In addition, systematic safety management is required because of over 80 laboratory accidents occur every year in chemical laboratories. Accordingly, the laboratory installation and operation standards were established in 2020 by government, and it included essential safety standards for research equipment, facilities, and hazardous chemicals applied to chemical laboratories. In this study, specific major safety standards for chemical field were discussed for improving the laboratory safety level. |
