The average life expectancy of human beings has increased due to the development of biotechnology. Although aging induces various diseases, skin-related troubles are one of the most frequently occurring diseases. Therefore, research on a method for delaying the progression of these skin aging and diseases is actively under way. In this experiment, we prepared a chitosan microsphere containing natural extracts. They were combined with PLCL to prepare 3D composite scaffolds. The fabricated microspheres and composite scaffolds were analyzed using a SEM. The chemical states were analyzed using an FT-IR. In addition, the biocompatibility of the composite scaffolds was evaluated by conducting cytotoxicity assay using NIH-3T3 cells. Our result demonstrated that the functionality of the composite scaffold was considerably improved by incorporation of drug-loaded chitosan microspheres. |
