Reprocessable chemically crosslinked rubber based on epoxidized natural rubber/carboxylated halloysite nanotube composites. |
초록 |
Conventional rubber vulcanizates cannot be reprocessable due to its irreversible crosslinked structure, which make them have difficult recyclability and cause environmental problems. In recent years, covalently crosslinked rubbers with facile recyclability and reprocessability are being developed by introducing dynamic exchangeable bonds into the crossslinked structure. In this study, we prepared reprocessable rubber vulcanizates by melt mixing of epoxidized natural rubber (ENR) and carboxylated halloysite nanotube (xHNT) and a subsequent compression molding of the mixture at high temperature. Dynamic rheometer test and FTIR analysis showed that the ENR/xHNT hybrids can form chemically crosslinked network via the esterfication reaction between epoxy group of ENR and carboxylic acid groups of xHNT. The cured ENR/xHNT composite exhibits elastomeric properties and becomes reprocessable above 180 ℃ owing to exchangeable ester bonds. |
