제목 | Hard Coatings on Polycarbonate Plate by Sol-Gel Process |
초록 | The hard coatings on the polycarbonate (PC) plate were performed with the object of substitution the glass in the car to the PC plate. In this research, tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS), methyltriethoxysilane (MTES) and [3-(methacryloyloxy)propyl]trimethoxysilane [MPTMS] were used to prepare the coatings by sol-gel process1-9. The optimum conditions and the formulation to get the excellent physical properties were determined. The pretreatment condition of PC plate, the mole ratio of TEOS and MTES, selection of the solvent, the aging time, the amount of acid catalyst, photopolymerization condition, and the number of folds of coating were characterized. The pretreatment of PC was done as the coating with poly(methyl methacrylate) to improve the adhesive strength. The againg time of the sol was 3-4 days at the room temperature, but 5 hours at 60 ℃ and 3-4 hours at 70 ℃. When TEOS and MTES were used, the coating which got 1-2 H class at pencil hardness were formed. When MPTMS was also used, the smooth coating which got 2-3 H class at pencil hardness were formed.
