Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Hole Injection Polymer |

Triphenylamine (TPA) derivatives play important roles as hole injecting-transporting materials in electronic devices. The PEDOT (polyethylenedioxythiphene:polystyrene sulfonate) is widely used as hole injection layer. However, EL devices based on PEDOT reduces the performance since it is very acidic. To solve this problem, organic-inorganic hybrid polymer containing N, N’-bis[4-{3-(triethoxysilyl)propylcarbamato}methyloxyphenyl]-N-4-butylphenylamine was synthesized. The prepolymer was synthesized by sol-gel polymerization to fabricate insoluble hole injection layer by spin-coating followed by thermal crosslinking of ethoxysilane moieties. Electrochemical and optical properties of the new hole injection materials were investigated. In addition, the performances of the EL devices based on new hole injection materials will be discussed in this presentation. |
