제목 | A study on the synthesis of SnS2 by Mechanical Alloying. |
초록 | In this study, used as a anode material for lithium secondary battery, tin sulfide was prepared by mechanical alloying. Tin as anode material for lithium secondary battery is used, due to the volume change, tin(Sn) particles are pulverized and electrically insulating film is formed on the surface of pulverized Sn particles. Then, the pulverized tin particle become dead volume that means electrical isolation. As a result, capacity upon cycling is rapidly decreased by active material loss. Recent studies to improve cycle property have focused on enhancement of electrical contact by carbon coating and suppression of volume expansion by alloying. So we presented a new way to syntesize. Tin sulfide by MA(Mechanical Alloying) using a high energy SPEX Mill with tin and sulfur powder as the starting materials. When only S.A(stearic acid) used as process control agent, mean particle size of 5.01um, 3.44um, 3.32um can be obtained using 5mm STS balls, with BPR of 20:1, 25:1 and 30:1 respectively. At the same conditions but changed the BPR of 25:1, 30:1 and ball size of 3mm, the mean particle size of 3.12um and 2.43um can be obtained. Therefore, the smaller the ball size, the higher the BPR, the better the size distribution can be achieved. |
