Most people spend more than 70 percent of their time indoors. At a time when regulations on indoor activities are being tightened to reduce COVID-19, microbial communities in elementary school classrooms occupied by elementary school students with weak immune systems were investigated. In addition, microbial communities in outdoor air and Particulate matter (PM) concentrations while students were active in the classroom were measured and correlated. There is a need for research because research on indoor microorganisms that conduct disinfection to prevent infectious spread is unknown. As a result, some classrooms carrying out disinfection lacked enough indoor microorganisms to analyze genes, and in bacterial communities in the classroom where analysis was possible, there was a connection with PM. In addition, in the case of fungal communities, humidity was more relevant than other factors such as outdoor air and PM. |
