In order to prevent COVID-19 infections, schools conduct regular and daily disinfection. Daily disinfection in classrooms is a process of reducing the amount of microorganisms exposed through surface-based disinfection, however the effect and results of surface disinfection are unknown. We analyzed the communities of surface bacteria in classrooms where surface disinfection is performed to prevent infection. In addition, qualitative and quantitative analysis of microbial communities was conducted over time to identify effects over time. Although most surface bacteria were reduced immediately after surface disinfection, similar quantitative levels of bacteria were present on the surface with about six hours of activity in humans. However, different people have different microbial communities, so different bacteria have been observed. In addition, absolute abundance was added using amplicon sequencing and quantitative PCR. |
