제목 Rational design of Fe species/ZnO@carbon core-shell nanocomposite for voltammetric detection of trace level of 4-nitrophenol
초록 The accurate quantification of harmful organic contaminants such as 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) is vital for obtaining safe drinking water. For efficient and simple detection of 4-NP, electrochemical method is preferred over other techniques because of its simplicity and accuracy. In this study, a Fe species/ZnO@carbon composite electrode is prepared via carbothermal reduction of ZnFe-LDH@C and tested for 4-NP detection in river water. FE-SEM, XRD, XPS and TGA analysis were employed to study the physicochemical properties of Fe species/ZnO@carbon. Based on our results, the annealing temperature, zinc and carbon content combine to generate a Fe3O4, Fe0 and Fe3C heterostructure. The sensitivity of the composite towards 4-NP is determined using differential pulse voltammetry while other electroanalytical properties  of the composite are studied by CV and EIS. The Fe species/ZnO@carbon electrode exhibits high sensitivity and selectivity towards 4-NP.
