Characteristics of Polymer:Polymer Solar Cells with Organosulfonic Acid-Doped Electron-Accepting Polymers |

Polymer solar cells have attracted keen attention due to their advantages such as easy fabrication and superior soft-mechanical characteristics. Most of higher power conversion efficiency values have been achieved using polymer:fullerene solar cells, which can be attributed to the outstanding electron transport characteristics of fullerene derivatives as well as the secured efficient collection of electrons. However, the PCE of polymer:polymer solar cells is still inferior because of the relatively low electron mobility of electron-accepting polymers compared to the fullerene derivatives and charge-blocking resistance. In this work, we tried to improve the electron mobility of the electron-accepting polymers by doping with an organosulfonic acid. The performance of polymer:polymer solar cells using the doped electron-accepting polymers will be discussed in relation with the optical/electrical characteristics as well as the nanostructures of bulk heterojunction films. |
