In this article, we have studied the NO2 gas sensing property of poly(3,4-ethyldioxythiophene (PEDOT) and polypyrrole (PPy) polymer by using quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) technique. Initially the PEDOT and Ppy samples were deposited by dip coating, drop casting and electrospinning process separately. The surface morphology of deposited samples were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Our results revealed that the samples deposited by electrospinning show novel nanofiber morphology. Further these samples were tested for that NO2 gas sensitivity. The electrospun PPy sample shows highest response at various concentration of NO2 which is much higher than sample deposited by other coating process. |
