Dissolution behavior of celecoxib dispersion Using pH Dependent Polymers |

This study is to overcome poor solubility of celecoxib. Because poor soluble drug such as celecoxib has very low Bioavailability, solid dispersions was prepared and then mixed with other additive such as SLS, L-HPC, and starch etc. Solid dispersion was prepared with pH dependent polymer Eudragit E100 and hydrophilic polymer poly-vinyl-pyrrolidone(PVP). FT-IR was analyzed for chemical bond between drug and polymer. To identify the surface of solid dispersion, SEM carrid out and DSC, and XRD were used to analyze crystal or amorphous region maked by other interation between celecoxib and additives. The in vitro study presented in simulated gastric juice (pH 1.2). The dissolution rate of prepared solid dispersion was dramatically higher than commercial drug (Celebrex®). This study say that the rate of added polymers effect the dissolution rate and prepared solid dispersion system improved the bioavailability of poor solubility drug.
