The Future of cationized starch as an excellent fire retardant deposited on cotton fabric/FUP using LBL technique |
초록 |
Fire protection of materials is one of the most concerned area of research for scientist due to the increasing number of fire incidents all across the world causing huge human loss and mega property loss. Scientists, though cannot absolutely eliminate the possibility of fire for each material, however fire retardant thin films and bulk material can be used to retard the fire and thus could provide a safety window by delaying the burning and flaming time. In this report cationized starch have been used to produce coatings on cotton fabric/FUP using LBL technique. LV-SEM and EDAX analysis were carried out to analyses the surface morphology, thickness, growth rate and elemental composition of the coatings. For molecular identifications, ATR-FTIR and was used which confirmed the presence deposit entities. Fire protection and thermal properties were studied using TGA and UL-94 tests. The results of carious cationized starch based coated substrates were investigates and compared. |
