제목 Ultrafast colorimetric gas sensors using a disordered nanoparticle-based interferometer​
초록 Disorderedplasmonic nanostructures have attracted attention due to their unique opticalproperties such as lithography-free fabrication, strong absorption inbroadband, optical asymmetry, and material insensitivity. Here, we present adisordered plasmonic system using a ligand exchange reaction and thenanoparticle-embedded etalon which shows high purity reflective colors thanconventional interferometry systems. Additionally, an ultrafast colorimetricgas sensor can be fabricated by enclosing hydrogel into the cavity of theetalon. The chitosan hydrogel can reversibly expand/shrink depending onhumidity. The change of chitosan height drastically shifts the resonance peakof the interferometry. Unlike conventional thin metal films, the porousstructure of the disordered system does not hinder the movement of gasmolecules, ensuring a fast response time of 100 ms. This colorimetric sensorcan be applied to anticounterfeiting labels and smart displays due to theirimmediate responses.
