Microfluidic generated microbubbles can be an applicant for next generation materials with inherent ultra-light property. For example, shell-designed microbubbles using silica nanoparticles were demonstrated for high strength and stiffness characteristics with light weight. On the other hand, 2D materials such as graphene oxide can cover the microbubble effectively owing to its aspect ratio which lead flexible fabrication mechanism and functionalization. Aluminum hydroxide can be functionalized easily and utilized further oxidation reaction for Aluminium oxide potentially. Here, we synthesized 2D Aluminum hydroxide nanosheets called as Gibbsite. Our goal is introducing this 2D nanosheet into shell layer of microbubble to obtain functional microbubbles. To accomplish this goal, surface modification of gibbsite nanosheets were conducted with several chemicals to enhance dispersity in organic phase. |
