Silicon nanoparticles (Si-NPs) were used to overcome the volumetric expansion caused by charging and discharging of silicon anode materials attracting attention as high-capacity super-capacitors. Halogen-terminated Si-NPs were synthesized by reaction with zintl salt and halogens, and the surface of Si-NPs was treated by grignard reagent to introduce organic group on surface of Si-NPs. The Si-NPs were characterized by FT-IR, PL and NMR, and the silicone resin applied by Si-NPs had higher optical transmittance and lower oxygen transmittance than the silicone resin without those. In this presentation, I will discuss the synthesis of Si-NPs and their application to silicone resin. |
