제목 Nanoscale Assembly of Protein Based Tubular Structure
초록 Microtubules (MTs) are 25 nm protein nanotubes with wall comprised of protofilaments built from αβ-tubulin.† MTs are involved in cell division, intracellular trafficking, establishment and maintenance of cell shape. Assembled with cationic polymer, tubulin protein forms another type of protein nanotube distinguished from MTs, with stacking of protofilament rings that are larger than MTs. We show our recent Transmission Electron Micrography (TEM) results of assembly structures of these protein based nanotubes, including plastic embedding- and cryo-TEM. †M.C. Choi et al., Biophys.
