Electrospun PVA/Gelatin nanofibers for drug delivery and their cellular compatibility |

In this study, PVA/Gelatin nanofibers were fabricated via electrospinning method. Morphology of nanofibers was investigated in different ratios of PVA/Gelatin. Mechanical properties of membrane nanofibers from various ratios of PVA and Gelatin were also studied. In addition, potiential apply of Raspherry ketone incorroporation in nanofibers for tissue engineering was examined by drug release, integrity in water and cellular compatibility. Results demonstrated that mechanical properties of membranes increase when increase of content of PVA component. Raspherry ketone released characteristic can be controlled by pH value, crosslinking time and ratio PVA/Gelatin. In vitro study show that nanofibers membranes structure promoted the attachment of fibrolast cell, maintain characteristic cell morphology and viability through the period of study.
