제목 Hydrogel Microcontainers of Tunable Physical Properties Prepared by Polyionic Complexation
초록 We prepared uniform poly(vinylamine) (PVAm) hydrogel capsules with protonated primary amine groups in alkaline condition. Using the electrostatic interactions, PVAm-hyaluronic acid (HA) complexes were generated with two different molecular weights of HA. After introducing gold nanorod (AuNR) to the PVAm-HA complexes, PVAm-short HA chain complex (PVAm-sHA) exhibited improved durability and light stability when compared with PVAm-long HA chain complex (PVAm-lHA) during the local heating of AuNRs by the near-infrared (NIR) irradiation. We thus confirmed with NMR cryoporometry analysis that PVAm-sHA contains denser gel mesh structure than the shell structure with lHA. This, in turn, leads to the PVAm-sHA with higher elastic modulus, which is tested by the micropipette aspiration technique. We thus verified the structural change of polyionic shell complexes by varying the chain length of HAs, leading to the enhancement of mechanical strength and light-induced degradability.
