Hydrogen-Transfer polymerization (HTP) of acrylamide typed monomers using general t-butoxide initiator has been extensively studied. HTP is a significant method in a sense that it can produce a functional main chain polymer. However, many previous studies have focused only on vinyl acrylamide monomers and little research on acetylenic monomers like propiolamide has been carried out. In this work, we report the HTP of new type of propiolamide monomers and their corresponding blended polymer properties such as UV-vis absorption, fluorescence, and thermal transition behaviors. |
