The polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) have been applied in various area such as electric device and medical. Especially, some research to application for cosmetics and wearable device were performed due to its flexibility and biocompatibility of PDMS. For building thin film on skin, the hydrosilylation was proceeded between hydrogen terminated and vinyl terminated PDMS with platinum catalyst. Various nanofillers like cellulose nanofiber and fumed silica were chosen for improving mechanical properties of the PDMS. Additionally, the adhesion property of PDMS was adjusted by adding ethoxylated polyethylenimine (PEIE), which act as crosslink inhibitor. In the results, the enhancement in mechanical properties and adhesion strength was increased simultaneously with incorporating fumed silica and PEIE in PDMS. Based on these results, the composite materials for epidermal second skin could be assembled through adequate adoption of nanofillers and additives. |
