The waste etching solution discharged from the recycling process of photovoltaic module waste contains acids like nitric, acetic and phosphoric acid and metal ions such as Ag, Al and other impurities. Recovery of acids from the waste etching solution containing nitric, acetic and phosphoric acid discharged from recycling process for photovoltaic module waste process has been attempted using the solvent extraction method. From the experimental data by ion chromatography analysis, we obtained the optimum conditions of phase ratio and stages to separate phosphoric acid from the mixed acids. By use the solvent extraction method with tri-octyl phosphate(TOP) as an extractant, the removal of nitric and acetic acid from the acid mixture was achieved effectively at the ratio O/A=3 with 7th stage of extraction process. This process yielded approximately 85% recovery of phosphoric acid was achieved. |
