제목 Characterization of Aqueous Pluronic® F127 based on Gamma-ray doses
초록  Gamma-ray irradiation is a very useful tool to improve the physicochemical properties of various biodegradable polymers without a heating and cross-linking agent. Pluronics are polyoxyethylene-plyoxypropylene-polyoxyethylene (PEO-PPO-PEO) triblock copolymers. When the pluronic® F127 (F127) concentrations are at or above 16% in the aqueous solutions, they show interesting thermal behaviors. The F127 forms soft gels when they rise to body temperature, which are suitable for applications as a bone substitute. The aim of this work was to observe the thermal behaviors of the F127 solutions in gelation phenomena. The F127 solutions were dissolved in deionized water homogeneously at low temperature (about 4°C). The solutions were irradiated by using 60Co gamma-ray at a dose rate of 10 kGy/hr. The total irradiation dose was ranged from 25 kGy to 500 kGy. The F127 solutions were characterized by varying the concentration and analyzing their thermal behaviors.
