Engineering the Photocatalytic Performances of Bi2S3@B-C3N4 Hybrid Heterojunction for Full‐spectrum‐driven Cr(VI) Reduction and H2O2 Production |

Graphitic carbon nitride has been revealed as a prosperous metal-free catalyst toward environmental remediation, however, the major bottlenecks remains lacking sufficient solar-light-responsivity and photocatalytic reduction efficiency. In this work, we report the construction of a novel heterostructure composed of single-layer boron-doped carbon nitride (B-CN) anchored on urchin-like Bi2S3 (BS) clusters (BS@B-CN) for photo-reduction of Cr(VI) and photo-generation of H2O2. The as-synthesized composite with 10 wt% of B-CN content (BS@B-CN-10) achieves the boosted photo-reduction rate of 99.4% with in 60 min, which was 2.2 and 2.7 times higher than that of pure BS and B-CN, respectively. Regarding to the mechanism of photocatalytic activity enhancement was discussed. The results presented herein provide new routes for rational design of heterostructure-based photocatalysts along with both visible- and NIR-light-responsivity to address environmental and energy issues. |
