초록 Effect of Dispersion Agent Chain Length for Nonvolatile Polymer Memory-cell Characteristics

We investigated the effect of dispersion agent chain length on stable nonvolatile polymer memory-cell characteristics. To study the effect of dispersion chemical bonding length, we selected the Carbazole Terminated thiol(CB) such as CB5, CB8, CB11 as dispersion agent of Au-nanoparticles. One example, CB11 are consisted of carbon bonding number of eleven.
In our research, the memory cell with CB11 as a dispersion agent showed higher dispersity and more stable electrical bi-stability characteristics than using other dispersing agents. The size of Au-nanoparticles with CB11 was approximatively 3.745 nm x 3.504 nm. In addition, the memory cell with CB11 showed that Vp(program) of 3V, Ve(erase) of 5V, and Ion (after programming)/Ioff (after erasing) of ~3.34x101. On the other hands, The devices with CB5 and CB8 did not showed stable memory characteristics because of lower dispersity than CB11. In conclusion, we found that the dispersity of Au-nanoparticles is related with dispersion agent chain length which strongly influence on the electrical bi-stability characteristics of memory cells.
