Kinetic study of Ni/La/Al2O3 catalyst in Steam-CO2 reforming of methane |

In the present work, the kinetics of methane Steam–CO2 reforming (SCR) was conducted intensively over a Ni-based catalyst. Kinetic expressions for methane Steam–CO2 reforming over a Ni catalyst are proposed by power-law rate expression based on kinetic data. This was carried out in the high temperature range of 923-1073 K and at 1 atm pressure. Both reaction orders and activation energy were performed under free heat-mass transfer limited conditions. According to the initial reaction rate methods, one of the partial pressures of CH4, CO2, and H2O was varied in the 0.150-0.400 atm range while the other three partial pressures were kept constant. Additionally, in order to discover the effect of H2, one of the product gases, was carried out in the same way. The aim of this experiment was to investigate the kinetics of methane Steam-CO2 reforming (SCR) over a Ni catalyst in order to determine the changes in the parameters of power-law type rate expression. |
