제목 Fabrication of injectable bone substitute (IBS) loaded with calcium deficient hydroxyapatite (CDHA) microspheres for enhanced bone regeneration
초록  Injectable bone substutite (IBS) provides a minimal invasive application in filling bone cracks and irregular size defects. However, inadequate porosity is one of its limitations that results to slow degradation and impedes cell ingrowth. Calcium deficient hydroxyapaptite (CDHA) microsphere was incorporated into the injectable bone substitute to generate porosity for increased degradation and enhanced bone regeneration. Resulting IBS loaded with CDHA microsphere where characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) for crystallinity, scanning electron microscopy for morphology, porosity analysis for porosity and pore size determination and compressive strength for mechanical properties. Biocompatibility was also evaluated by culturing rat Bone Marrow stem cell (rBMSC) on the samples for 1 and 7 days.
