A Novel Method for Preparation of Large-Area Graphene Oxide Films |

Here, we present a novel and simple approach to fabricate large-area graphene oxide (GO) films using GO colloidal suspensions. The GO solutions prepared by a Hummer’s method are centrifuged under a high vacuum system. During evaporation, GO sheets are assembled by the Langmuir-Blogette mechanism to generate layer-by-layer GO films. The size of GO films is more than 3×3 cm, and the thickness can be controlled from 200 nm to 1 m based on the concentration of GO colloidal suspension and evaporation temperature. The prepared GO films exhibit excellent transparency, typical fluorescent emission and strong flexibility with smooth surface and condensed density. |
