LiMn2O4/Multi walled carbon nanotube(MWNT) composites were successfully synthesized by two-step hydrothermal method according to mole fraction of LiOH aqueous solution. And the effect of different particle size on the electrochemical properties was examined. Note that, Higher precursor concentration, leads to a larger number of crystals meaning smaller nanoparticles. With a decrease in particle size, the specific capacity becomes increased. It is suggested that small LiMn2O4 particles with large surface area provide more lithium ions for diffusion. Thus, LiMn2O4/MWNT composites showed excellent specific capacity and cycle performance as cathode for lithium-ion batteries. The morphology of LiMn2O4/MWNT composites were observed by HR-TEM and FE-SEM. LiMn2O4/MWNT composites were characterized by XRD. The electrochemical properties of the LiMn2O4/MWNT composites were examined by using galvanostatic charge/discharge. |
