제목 Effect of Plasticizer on Expansion and Mechanical Properties of Poly (lactic acid) Foam Composites
초록 Thermally expandable microcapsules (TEPMs) and plasticizer filled poly(lactic acid)(PLA) foam composites are prepared by melt mixing method and the effect of plasticizer on thermal, mechanical and expansion properties of PLA foam composites are investigated. The triethyl citrate(TEC) is used as plasticizer to improve the dispersion and expansion properties of the TEPMs and compensate for the brittleness of PLA. Although plasticizer reduced the overall mechanical properties of PLA foam composites, expansion property of TEPMs and impact strength of composites are considerably increased by plasticizing of PLA resin. Glass transition, melting temperature and crystallinity of plasticized PLA composites are decreased with increasing the content of TEC. Only 3 wt.% of TEC is rapidly improve the melt index(MI) and impact property.
