As an effective electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in water splitting, metal-organic framework (MOF) with active layered-double-hydroxide (LDH) were fabricated on to Ni-Foam substrate. Herein, we report a facile method to fabricate 3D zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF) on ultrathin ternary metal ZnCoFe-LDHs via in-situ synthesis, which is further annealed with P source to form catalytic metal phosphide. The ratio of ternary metal (Zn, Co, and Fe) was optimized to enhance the catalytic activity. Zn metal ions may hinder the aggregation of Co metal ions in LDH formation, stabilizing ZIF morphology. The P-LDH@ZIF catalyst requires a low overpotentials of only 265 mV at 10 mA cm-2 and a low Tafel slope of 56mV dec-1 in 1.0 M KOH electrolyte. The characterization of P-LDH@ZIF was investigated by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The electrochemical measurements were performed by linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). |
