La0.5Sr0.5Co0.75Fe0.25 (LSCF) is actively being used as the electrodes in Solid Oxide Cells (SOC). It can be applied to medium and low temperature SOC. In addition, it is a mixed conductor that can react with oxygen ions and electrons across the electrode surface. In this study, we fabricated metal NPs patterned-LSCF electrodes through nanoparticle patterning and PLD. Among the metal NPs, Ag NP showed the best performance. To reveal the role of Ag NPs, we performed the density functional theory (DFT) calculations and investigated the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) mechanism in LSCF systems. As a result, we proposed the optimal reaction pathway and identified the role of particles. Our study can provide a new reaction pathway in the metal NPs/LSCF. |
