Silver nanowire (Ag NWs) is a one-dimensional metallic nano-material that is an alternative to ITO transparent electrodes because of its simplicity of synthesis, solution procedure, and unique electro-optical characteristics. Hot injection at high temperatures is the most popular synthesis technique, as it helps to obtain multiple twinned crystal nuclei in high-temperature conditions. The addition of the silver precursor produces fewer effects than an instantaneous drop-in solution temperature because of the small volume scale. In contrast, injecting a large number of reactants affects the nucleation process, resulting in large amounts of nanoparticle by-products. This study used the heating method to synthesize silver nanowires into a 500ml round flask. By enlarging the synthesis scale with the same concentration ratio of each component, the performance of the Ag NWs will be evaluated and compared with the hot injection method. |
