Controllable Synthesis and Application of Dendritic Fibrous Nanosilica - Nano Metal-Organic Framework Nanohybrids |

The multifunctionality and synergistic properties of the individual components in hybrid nanoarchitectures render them more promising for diversified applications. The rational development of nanohybrids are expected to enable unique nanospace engineering in the resulting systems. Herein, the fabrication of hybrid nanosystems composed of dendritic fibrous nanosilica (DFNS) and DFNS/noble metal (DFNS/M) hybrids (M = Au, Pd) as the core and nano metal-organic framework (NMOF) as the shell (DFNS@NMOF) is investigated. The nanospace in DFNS@NMOF can be deliberately utilized for the facile integration of metallic nanodots to generate hierarchical DFNS/M@NMOF architectures. The obtained hybrid nanoarchitectures exhibit improved catalytic activity and reusability for oxidation - condensation reaction under ambient conditions. |
