제목 Conventional Metal Oxide as Electrocatalyst for Li-air battery
초록 As a next-generation battery alternative to conventional Li-ion batteries, Li–air batteries have attracted considerable attention due to their high energy density of ∼3500 Wh kg−1, greater than conventional batteries. Carbon-based substrates are widely utilized as an air-electrode due to  high surface area and good conductivity. However, it was  demonstrated that reactive carbon surface is easily deteriorated with reaction of discharge products. Hence, the use of conventional metal oxide has gained recent interest to replace the carbon-based due to superior physicochemical properties,  stability and low cost for synthesis. In this study, we employed a conventional metal oxide (BiVO4) as electrocatalyst for Li-air batteries. Preliminary results suggest that BiVO4 has promising potential as robust Li-air electrocatalyst. This work provided a facile pathway of fabricating an alternative electrocatalyst for Li-air batteries.
