Fabricating Anisotropic Multifunctional Particles at the Interface of Structured Microflows |

Anisotropic multifunctional particles have been used in wide ranges of areas from biomedical engineering to electronics. Here, we utilize the structured microflows combined with lithography to create large arrays of anisotropic multifunctional microparticles. These techniques can be used to create hydrogel particles with 3D morphologies and chemical patterns. In addition, the techniques allow for the synthesis of a novel class of functional particles from organic precursors. As a demonstrative application, we introduce advanced barcoded particles produced by the new methods. |
