Change of Physical Properties and Adsorption Capacity during in situ Regeneration of Activated Carbon using Ozonated Water |
초록 |
Activated carbon (AC) adsorption is widely used to remove taste • odor and organic contaminants. However there is a limit of adsorption capacity of AC, so it needs to replace or recycle the saturated AC to reuse. In this study, Granular activated carbon (GAC) and ozone were used to remove organic compounds from aqueous solution. It was investigated the adsorption and in situ regeneration experiments in a packed bed column without taking out the GAC. It was observed change of adsorption capacity and properties of GAC by repeated adsorption-ozone regeneration cycles. |
