Two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterials have widely studied for promising nanofillers in polymer nanocomposite due to its unique mechanical strength, electrical and thermal conductivity. Moreover, several recent researches suggest 2D-2D hybrid nanofillers connected by covalent bonding of individual heterogeneous 2D nanofillers. Compared with single filler system, hybrid filler can compensate for the weakness of each filler and exhibit a synergistic effect. In this study, MXene and graphene oxide (GO) were employed as fillers. MXene and GO were modified with different modifiers to enhance the dispersity of fillers in polymer matrix. After surface modification, a bridge was formed between MXene and GO by connecting modifiers to each other while reducing GO. The obtained MXene/rGO hybrid filler was solution mixed with polyamide 6 (PA6). The effect of hybrid fillers on mechanical properties and EMI shielding were investigated to confirm synergistic effect. |
