Polyamide(PA)/Polyphenylene ether(PPE) blend has been used in many automobile parts due to excellent chemical resistance, dimensional stability and thermal properties. The PA/PPE blend is a typical immiscible system and is required to improve the interfacial interaction between the two polymer phases. Recently, many metals and even thermosetting plastics in automobile parts have been replaced with high performance polyphthalamides (PPAs) due to excellent mechanical properties, dimensional stability and long-term temperature resistance. Accordingly, in this study, PA66/PA6T/PPE/MWCNT nanocomposites were prepared by melt processing, and the morphology and physical properties of nanocomposites were investigated by using transmission electron microscope (TEM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and electrical conductivity measurements. |
