Polybenzimidazole composite membranes containing benzimidazole group modified graphene oxide (ImGO) for high-temperature proton exchange membrane |
초록 |
Polymer composite membranes based on polybenzimidazole (PBI) and modified graphene oxide (ImGO) are developed for high-temperature proton exchange membrane. ImGO is prepared by reaction between o-phenylenediamine with graphene oxide (GO). ImGO shows superior compatibility with PBI matrix, resulting in improved physicochemical properties and higher proton conductivity compared with pristine PBI membrane. The PBI composite membrane having 0.5 wt.% of ImGO as a filler shows increased tensile strength with minimized sacrificing of elongation at break value (219.2 MPa, 28.8%) compared with pristine PBI (181.0 MPa, 34.8%). At 150 oC under anhydrous condition, proton conductivity of this membrane is 77.52 mS cm-1 which is 46.9% larger than that of pristine PBI.
